I'm Margaret Wright, hand bookbinder. A former school teacher and avid reader, I love books and understand how much you treasure your old books.
I take great personal interest in each book that comes into my care. When you send me a book for restoration or repair, I personally examine all aspects and come up with a treatment plan that honors the integrity of the original.
All bindings and repairs are done by hand using a variety of old-world handbinding equipment and quality, archival-grade materials. I actually hand sew books together with a needle and thread - something you won’t find very much any more. Your book will be repaired in a way that is both elegant and structurally sound. In other words, it won’t fall apart in a few months like most modern books. Book repair the old-fashioned way.
